This is my second order of this cross. I sponsored an Orthodox convert a few months ago and gave him this exact cross, and it has been worn daily ever since, including during workouts, without any noticeable discoloration. The size has also worked very well for an adult male.
We converted the pendant to a leather cord with sliding knots, which gives it a slightly more masculine and traditional look.
The cross comes beautifully packaged and would make a meaningful gift for an Orthodox Christian. The design has a distinctly Russian Orthodox character, which fits especially well within that tradition.
Because it is sterling silver, it should hold up well for years with normal care. I also think the price is very reasonable for something intended to serve as a baptismal cross and potentially be worn for a lifetime, especially for an adult convert.
Great looking cross how ever the small ring that holds it is very delicate and broke , for the money it should be made with better material
When I saw this was available to try I was excited because my mother is Catholic and I thought this would be a great gift for her.
When it arrived I thought it looked beautiful and I really liked the size but then I noticed there was no 925 stamp anywhere on the cross or clasp. So I decided to investigate further and what I found made me upset.
After looking closely I noticed the cross had some uneven and bubbly spots so I thought it must be plated and not actually real sterling silver. I got a sharp knife and scratched the side pretty deep and then when I looked I saw there was yellow metal underneath. This is not real sterling silver.
I was very upset that the seller would be selling this for such a high price and claiming it was sterling silver. Nothing about this has genuine sterling silver.
It is a nice piece that would be worth maybe 20-30 dollars but they should not be advertising this as having sterling silver. As a non precious metal piece or even if it is really plated with silver it is not worth the money they are selling this for. I could never give this to my mother because she would never wear something that wasn't real.
I gave two stars because it is a nice necklace and it shines nicely. The chain is thick and heavy and feels durable. It does look nice too. But I am still upset that others would but this and pay so much thinking they are getting genuine sterling silver when it is not.
If they lowered the price and removed the sterling silver advertisement I would recommend it but not as it is right now.

While the cross and chain feels really well and thick, the ring holding the pendant isn’t soldered shut or durable and it caused the pendant to constantly fall off. The ring finally snapped today and my husband bought this for my baptism in May ‘26. I do love the size, color, thickness of chain and cross, and the style. But for the price I wish the pendant was attached more secure. If it was I would highly recommend this chain.
